Make sure the temperature of warm water not warmer than normal body temperature. It is good to use lesser than body temperature.

Use Lubricant first.
Everyone knows that you required lubricant in every anal sex. Why, because you are going to insert something in your anal. In the same way. We are going to insert anal douche tool in the anus, you need to use lubricant over it too.

Do not use Anti-bacterial soaps.
Thinking to add anti-bacterial soap for the cleaning or douching the anal is not good for you. Even it is banned by FDA to use such cleaning agent in the douching or for anal.
If you really want to use soaps or foaming things, then you can go with specified soaps for anal only.
